This octagon shaped lantern would have been powered by candle originally. It has been sympathetically converted to electric. The top section has open fretted brass leaves, the middle section has brass glazing bars with a moulding going round the widest point. It also has a door for bulb access and the lower section has ventilation holes. This piece comes with a large bayonet bulb holder B 22 C 1880
