Description

A very pretty German solid silver table box. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark and the 800 standard mark. I would date it to c1890-1900. It has been superbly designed being embossed with cherubs playing musical instruments whilst two others sing. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The inside is clean and the lid closes flush. It measures almost 2.5 inches (6.1cms) across by 1 inch (2.4cms) tall and weighs 72 grams. A stunning example.
