A rare extremely beautiful large English antique solid sterling silver chalice. It is hallmarked for Chester 1931 with the makers mark being that of S Blanckensee & Son Ltd. It has been superbly made and is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, small light surface patches from possibly once being completed gilded (base underside still gilded) - but this is nothing of note. It measures approx. 4.5 inches (11cm) tall by almost 5.5 inches (13.7cm) across the rim by 4.25 inches (11cm) across the base and weighs 368 grams. A very good quality impressive piece.
