An old single cut diamond and ruby ring late Victorian ring set in 18ct yellow gold and silver. The diamonds are an early variation on table cut diamonds and possibly from an older piece reused in this Victorian ring, table cut diamonds are very early cuts used in medieval jewellery and Georgian pieces used a modification of this cut, as it uses the entirety of the diamond natural form., so when cutting in this manner one retains much of the diamond ct weight. Set with natural rubies.
