Here we have for sale today this early Georgian Rustic Character Bureau.
A good early one, George 1st, dating 1720 ish and all made in English Walnut, to include all drawer linings and interior.
All raised on these bracket feet and having 2 short over 3 long drawers all fitted with these brass swan neck handles and escutcheon plates. Drawers are all cross banded in this herringbone walnut. The hinged fall fitted with Georgian working lock and key, enclosing a fully fitted interior to include 6 drawers and door enclosing a compartment, also fitted with secret compartment and drawers.
Original polish and patina its this rich Walnut colour with a wax polish finish (please see pictures)
Solid in all its joints, Please note : this Bureau is Rustic and full of Character, with lots of evidence of historic woodworm, but this worm is historic and has been a long time dead, as per normal this bureau has been treated and is 100% worm free.
