Here we have a beautiful quality 18th Century or possibly earlier bible type storage box or even a marriage chest made from Oak and having superb dove tail jointing and original iron embellishments including hinges, love heart backed carry handles and lock housing on an iron chain, the box is presented on framed feet and has a wonderful overall patination, on the inside are two side sections and a sliding 'seat panel'
