Here we have a wonderful Norwegian blanket chest or toybox dated 1912. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. The top has a rich waxed finish with traces of the wonderful old paint. The top has two planks and can easily be sat on as a hall or window seat. The sides are beautifully painted with a wavy design and retain the original handles. The front is delicious with stunning decoration and the original painted date of 1912. The whole sits on the original plainth base.
