Dated 1808. Rare, neat-sized ebony-inlaid George III mahogany trunk. The lid in a beautifully figured Spanish mahogany with neo classical ebony string inlay, 3 locks (one original key), original brass escutcheons and ebonized edges opening to trunk interior. The sides with original brass carrying handles and the front painted with “?? Society January 1808”. Supported on neat ebonized turned feet.
