Scottish pebble jewellery gained immense popularity during the Victorian era, largely due to Queen Victorias affection for Balmoral Castle and the Scottish Highlands, which sparked a fashion for native stones set in silver.

Pieces typically feature locally sourced Scottish hardstones such as agate, jasper, and bloodstone, meticulously cut, polished, and flush-set into handcrafted sterling or silver-gilt mounts.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-cut natural stones with characteristic geological inclusions, traditional period clasps, and frequently feature hollow-backed silver construction typical of mid-19th-century silversmithing.

This piece can be worn as a distinct statement accessory, paired with modern minimalist attire to highlight the intricate stonework and historical craftsmanship without visual competition.

Store the item in a dry, lined jewellery box away from direct sunlight, avoid harsh chemical cleaners or ultrasonic baths, and gently clean the silver and stones with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
