Description

This is a superb antique William IV sterling silver jug measuring 5 1/2? (14 cms) across from handle to spout x 4? (10 cms) deep x 6? (15 cms) high to the top of the handle.

It's hallmarked for London 1836 with the silversmiths mark for Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater and shows the retailers mark for Wordley & Mayer of Liverpool.

It’s in excellent condition (any marks you can see are just reflections) and weighs 287.3 grams/9.2 troy oz.

It's gilded inside and has beautiful decoration of flowers and leaves around the body, grape & vine around the rim and a super mermaid and dolphin handle.

Please note that we have a matching bowl if you wish to take a look.

This jug will come with a certificate of authenticity.
