A Pretty Transitional Victorian Silver Tea Caddy Spoon

A charming silver caddy spoon dating from the year that the Monarchy passed from King George IV to Queen Victoria. The handle is fluted, with a diamond heel to the reverse of the bowl. The bowl is a beautiful shovel shape with stipple engraving, featuring flowers. A most interesting and unusual collector's piece and a superb addition to the afternoon tea table. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. There is a small crease on the reverse of the shaft, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Interesting to collectors is the fact that the duty mark for this date letter can be either George IV or Victoria. In this case it is the latter.
