Description

Danish sterling silver "Crystal Ball" pendant with cabochon polished rock crystal. 1960s. By Kurt Nielsen.

The lineage of the Nielsen business dates back to 1942. The company later expanded and became an international conglomerate, receiving the King Frederik IX honorary award for meritorious effort in export. Kurt Nielsen trained at Georg Jensen in the 1950s before becoming the artistic director of KNDK.

This stunning pendant measures 3.5cm x 2.5cm. Rock crystal is 2cm diameter. Comes with a 75cm long sterling silver chain by another maker. Total weight 28.2g. Excellent condition.
