A Fabulous Victorian Silver Topped Vanity Jar

A fabulous Victorian silver mounted large vanity jar. This unusual and delightful piece is of cylindrical form with a repousse silver lid. The interior is gilded and the lid has a large vacant cartouche. The superior jar is beautiful cut in the Victorian Gothic style and to the base is a superb hobnail cut star. A superior and practical piece of dressing table ware, with a variety of uses. Dimensions below.
