Description

A Victorian silver top scent bottle with hallmarks for Birmingham 1896 and makers initials slightly rubbed within the shield, possibly THH (T H Hazelwood & Co). The scrolled and chased silver lid has a well fitting screw collar, which turns smoothly, and a glass stopper. The hobnail cut base is triangular and is cut in a fan or A shape with a long V shape cut separating the vertical hobnail sections. The underside is plain and concave. The fan shaped base is quite unusual and different to the more often found round base. The bottle has good weight and will look really good on the dressing table.
