An Exquisite Pair of French Empire Style Salt Tubs

An exquisite pair of 19th Century silver oval shaped salt tubs in the Empire style. These gorgeous French examples each stand on four acanthus feet and have shaped, half fluted bodies and vacant cartouches, surrounded by laurel branches. There are fitted blue liners and the interiors are gilded, making them as practical as they are decorative. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no splits or dents to the silver and no loss to the gilding. The liners have no damage.
