A Georgian Silver Mounted Travelling Inkwell

A charming George IV silver mounted travelling inkwell. This fine and collectable piece has a squared cut glass . The collar is hallmarked and to the top of the lid is a fine armorial. A good example, both practical and excellent for dressing a desk. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits to the silver and no chips or cracks to the glass. There is a tiny fleabite to one corner, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Maker's mark is absent.

Date :- London 1825.

Base area :- 4 cms. x 4 cms.
