A Handsome Art Deco Silver Card/cigarette Case

A handsome silver cigarette or card case from the Art Deco period. This quality piece is made of good gauge silver. The exterior is decorated with engine turned engraving. The clasp is strong and the interior is fully gilded and inscribed 'To John Sept 8th 1936'. The cigarette case has an internal strap for cigarettes but would serve well as a card case. A lovely, quality piece, still usable today. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no splits or breaks to the silver. There is a small area of flattening in one corner, shown in photo and commensurate with age and use. The hinge and clasp are strong.
