Description

A rare item of Victorian silver sewing ware. This is a gorgeous hallmarked silver cotton holder or spool knave. The wire work frame is of superb gauge silver and the hook holding the spool is attached to a large ring. A lovely and unusual piece for the collector as practical as it is decorative.

Hallmarks :- Full set to body and matching marks to ring.

Date :- Birmingham 1884.

Maker :- Bent & Parker.
