Description

This is an absolutely superb antique hallmarked sterling silver 2 handled cup/trophy with lid measuring 12" (30 cms) tall to the top x 7 1/2" (19 cms) across including the handles and hallmarked for Sheffield 1902 with the silversmiths mark for Mark Willis.

It's in superb condition with no damage at all and any marks you can see are just reflections.

One side is engraved 'Presented by J.B.Haslock Esq. To Be Shot for by Members of the G.Co 2nd Vol.Battn. P.A.S.L.I' and the other 'The J. B. Haslcok Challenge Cup, Conditions, Service, 500 Yds Indpt, 500 Rapid - Winner, Cyclist William Hill, 1905 - 06'.

It weighs 596 grams which gives you an idea of the quality and I believe the PASLI abbreviation stands for 'Prince Alberts Somerset Light Infantry'.
