An Unusual Pair of Silver Tea Tongs.

A stunning and unusual pair of silver tea tongs. These gorgeous examples are fully cast with shell pads and a bird. Tea tongs of this type date from the early 18th Century and were a show of wealth and position in polite society. An unusual and interesting pair, probably Continental and dating from the 19th Century.
