Description

A rare Edwardian silver lidded preserve pot. This unusual example is in the form of an apple and has a splendid amethyst glass body. The silver lid is hallmarked and has a spoon aperture. A rare and collectable item, this could be used for preserves, and of course apple sauce.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits to the silver and no chips or cracks to the glass.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Maker :- Norton & White.

Date :- Birmingham 1904.

Height :- 11 cms. (to top of stalk).

Diameter :- 10 cms. (widest point).
