Description

A gorgeous and collectable silver stamp case from the Victorian era. This unusual and collectable piece has detailed engraving to both sides, featuring foliar and floral motifs. The interior slides open to facilitate access and to the top is an attaching ring for a fob chain or chatelaine. A rare and desirable collectors piece.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable with matching part marks.

Maker :- Joseph Hayes Taylor.

Date :- Birmingham 1880.

Height :- 3.5 cms. (to top of attaching ring).

Width :- 2.75 cms.

Date of Manufacture

Jeff Sims Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
