An Extremely Rare Early 18th Century Silver Tankard.

An extremely rare silver tankard dating from the early 18th Century. This superb piece is of baluster shape, with a raised foot and the interior is fully gilded. The capacity is a little over half a pint and the gauge of the silver is very good.

Silver from this period is extremely difficult to find and is always hotly pursued. A wonderful collector's piece.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents, holes or splits. There is a very old strengthening repair to the bottom of the handle, barely noticeable except under a glass and commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Height :- 10 cms.

Base diameter :- 7.5 cms.

Top diameter :- 6.5 cms.
