Description

A gorgeous silver condiment dish and spoon from the late 18th Century. This elegant example is in the 'Adams' style with a reeded rim and pedestal foot. The body is boat shaped and gilded inside. To the front is an attractive armorial, which is repeated on the silver spoon. The spoon is shovel shaped and in Old English pattern.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. The interior has light surface scratches, commensurate with age and use. the gilding is good.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. The spoon is hallmarked for 1786.

Maker :- Duncan Urquhart & Napthali Hart.

Width :- 10 cms. (widest point).

Depth :- 5.5 cms.

Height :- 6 cms.
