Description

A superb silver dish from the reign of George III, with cast rim and paw feet. This superior piece is of excellent guage silver, with a gadrooned border and foliar detail. The interior is fully gilded.

Condition :- Very good, with no splits or major dents. There are a couple of minor bumps around the body, commensurate with age and use. To the base is a zigzag line and some scuffing (shown in photo 4).

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Maker :- John Houle.

Diameter :- 10.5 cms (widest point).

height :- 4.25 cms.

Date of Manufacture

Jeff Sims Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
