Description

A gorgeous collector''s item. This is a superb silver patchbox with Bright Cut decoration to the lid and base. It is of squared oval shape and the lid is hinged.

Made by the renowned makers, Cocks & Bettridge this is a lovely example of a rare Georgian patchbox.

Condition :- Very good with no splits or breaks. To the base there are a couple of minor dents, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Fully marked inside lid. A Birmingham hallmark this early is a rare find.

Maker :- Cocks & Bettridge.

Length :- 3 cms.

Width :- 2.5 cms.

Depth :- 1 cms.

Date of Manufacture

Jeff Sims Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
