Mid Century 3.00 Carat Unheated Purple Sapphire & Diamond Ring, Circa 1960

Description

An impressive sapphire and diamond ring. The rectangular cushion shaped sapphire - certified as natural and unheated - sits between six natural baguette-cut diamonds arranged as stepped shoulders. Crafted in platinum, with 18k yellow gold claws holding the sapphire. The open gallery and slim band balance the broad geometric arrangement of the stones.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory confirming that the sapphire shows no indications of heating.

Cut:  Cushion cut sapphire and baguette cut diamonds.

Colour:  The sapphire displays a subtle colour change: purplish blue in daylight and purple under incandescent light. The diamonds are H.

Clarity:  The sapphire is eye-clean. The diamonds are VS.

Carat:  The sapphire is approximately 3.00 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carat.

Circa:  1960.

Size:  L (UK) or 5½ (US). Free sizing available. Please note that the internal sizing beads can be removed upon request and will be removed if the ring be resized.
