Art Deco Figured Walnut Leather Top Pedestal Desk

Description

A superb Art Deco figured walnut leather top pedestal desk, made in England and dating from the 1930’s.

This is of amazing quality, it is beautifully constructed from solid and veneered walnut. It is very sturdy and very well made, there is beautiful joinery with fine, nice joinery on the drawers. Below the upper drawers each pedestal has a cabinet with a single shelf in each, the doors and drawers have gorgeous Bakelite handles. There is a brown inset leather top with beautiful gold tooling around the edges. The back of this is nicely finished, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.

Height – 76 cm , 30 inches

Knee height – 61 cm , 24 inches

Knee width – 55 cm , 21.5 inches
