This Edwardian Queen Anne revival lowboy is constructed from mahogany in a warm brown colour with a figured grain and a mellow golden top. The rectangular moulded top sits above a three-drawer layout containing two upper short drawers and one lower full-width drawer, fitted with pierced brass batwing handles. The case rests on four cabriole legs with shaped brackets at the knees and pad feet at the base. The piece measures 76.5 cm high, 108 cm wide, and 54 cm deep. Such a side table fits well in a traditional hallway, bedroom, or living room, providing convenient surface space and concealed storage for daily items. The compact footprint allows it to sit flush against a wall in smaller spaces while adding a classic English country house aesthetic to an interior scheme. The solid timber construction ensures everyday durability when used for display lamps or decorative accessories.

A lowboy is a small table with a set of drawers elevated on long legs, originating in the eighteenth century to function as a vanity or side table. During the Edwardian period, craftsmen frequently reproduced Queen Anne and Georgian style lowboys in woods such as mahogany.

Edwardian lowboys were primarily constructed from solid mahogany or mahogany veneers, featuring solid wood drawer linings, hand-cut dovetail joints, and cast brass swan-neck handles.

Authentic period construction is identified by hand-cut drawer dovetails, secondary lining timbers like pine or oak, natural wear to the base of the feet, and original patination on brass hardware.

A lowboy functions effectively as a entry hall console table, a compact home office desk, or an accent piece in a living space when positioned beneath artwork or a wall mirror.

Dust surfaces regularly with a soft cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish along the wood grain annually, taking care not to apply abrasive polishes to the patinated brass hardware.
