This is a vintage 1930s Art Deco solitaire ring styled in platinum and 18k yellow gold. The piece displays a 2.28 carat oval cut unheated natural ruby in a bright glowing red with flashes of hot pink, secured within a four-claw yellow gold collet. Flanking the central stone are diamond-set shoulders featuring eight-cut diamonds on a knife-edge platinum shank stamped with %10 IRID PLAT. Visual inspection reveals multi-claw collet settings, geometric shoulder detailing, and a mixed-metal band combining silvery and golden tones. Due to its classification as a fine jewellery item, room placement is not applicable, and it is worn as a personal ornament on the finger.

Art Deco ruby solitaire rings from the 1930s typically feature central gemstones set in precious metals, often complemented by geometric shoulders accented with smaller diamonds.

Jewellers in the 1930s frequently combined platinum or white gold bands with contrasting yellow gold claw settings, alongside unheated natural rubies and accent diamonds.

Authentic 1930s rings often showcase geometric shoulder detailing, precise claw or bezel settings, period hallmarks, and natural gemstone inclusions visible under magnification.

A vintage ruby solitaire ring serves as a focal piece that pairs directly with modern tailored eveningwear or contemporary casual outfits.

Clean vintage ruby jewellery using warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding chemical cleaners or ultrasonic treatments to protect the antique mounting.
