The Art Deco period, spanning roughly from 1915 to 1935, is characterised by geometric precision, stylised motifs, symmetrical lines, and a strong modernist influence that broke away from the flowing curves of the preceding Edwardian and Art Nouveau eras.

These pieces typically utilised 18-carat yellow gold for the band and settings, frequently paired with platinum for the gemstone claws to enhance the brilliance of the diamonds, alongside old European or old mine cut diamonds.

Authentic pieces generally display period-specific hand-cut gemstones, traditional hand-engraved detailing on the shoulders, and hallmark stamps indicative of early 20th-century assay offices rather than modern laser manufacturing.

An antique ring can be worn as a standalone statement piece to add historical contrast to minimalist modern outfits, or stacked with contemporary bands for a curated, mixed-era aesthetic.

Preserve the integrity of the piece by storing it separately in a lined jewellery box, removing it during strenuous activities, and cleaning it gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding harsh ultrasonic cleaners on fragile settings.
