Scandinavian brutalist jewellery emerged in the 1960s and 1970s, characterised by raw, unpolished metal surfaces, textured finishes, and abstract or organic forms inspired by industrial landscapes and nature.

Finnish designers of this era frequently utilised bronze, pewter, and silver, often combining them with natural stones or leaving the metal to oxidise for a dark, tactile finish.

Authentic pieces often feature maker marks, specific foundry stamps, and characteristic casting techniques that display rough-hewn, textured surfaces unique to the designers output in the 1960s and 1970s.

Such statement items pair well with minimalist outfits, monochromatic fabrics, and modern ensembles, allowing the bold sculptural metalwork to serve as the focal point.

Bronze should be cleaned gently with a soft microfibre cloth to remove surface dust. Avoid harsh chemical dips or abrasive polishes that can strip away the desirable historical patination.
