This transitional era spans the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bridging ornate Victorian designs with the lighter, more delicate aesthetics of the Edwardian period.

High-karat yellow gold, particularly 18 carat, was frequently paired with platinum accents to enhance the brilliance of hand-cut diamonds.

Authentication involves examining hallmarks for purity and maker marks, assessing hand-cut diamond facets such as old European or single cuts, and checking for period-specific setting techniques.

Mixing historical pieces with contemporary minimalist bands creates a layered, textured look that highlights the unique character of antique craftsmanship.

Regular professional inspections of the settings ensure the stones remain secure, while gentle cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft brush maintains the metal and gemstone lustre.
