The Edwardian period, spanning from the accession of King Edward VII in 1901 to 1914, is characterised by light, airy motifs, extensive use of platinum and yellow gold, and the widespread popularity of diamond cluster and multi-stone settings.

Fine jewellery from this period frequently utilised 18-carat yellow gold, platinum-topped gold settings, and hand-cut diamonds such as old European or old mine cuts secured in claw or gallery mounts.

Authentic pieces typically feature British town marks, makers marks, and standard fineness stamps like 18ct, often verified through assay office records corresponding to the specific year of production.

Historic rings pair exceptionally well with modern minimalist bands or can be worn as a standalone statement piece to add historical depth and texture to a modern jewellery collection.

Regular inspection of the stone settings by a professional jeweller ensures the claws remain secure, while cleaning should be performed gently using warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding harsh chemical ultrasonic cleaners.
