Regency porcelain, produced roughly between 1811 and 1820, is characterised by classical influences, refined shapes, and often intricate hand-painted or transfer-printed floral and chinoiserie motifs.

Potters of this era utilised soft-paste and bone china bodies, refined clay mixtures, and lead glazes, often incorporating metallic oxide pigments for vibrant hand-painted enamels.

Authentic pieces often feature specific pattern numbers painted in red or brown enamel on the base, alongside characteristic potting flaws, unglazed foot rims, and subtle variations typical of early hand-crafting techniques.

Antique plates add historical texture and colour when mounted on walls as a curated grouping, displayed on plate stands within shelving units, or integrated into tablescapes.

Antique porcelain should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid soaking pieces for extended periods and never place them in a dishwasher.
