The Edwardian era, spanning the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, is characterised by light, airy designs, platinum settings, and delicate lace-like motifs, though substantial gold pieces remained popular for everyday wear.

Edwardian rings frequently utilised 18ct yellow gold, rose gold, and emerging platinum settings, often paired with hand-cut diamonds, seed pearls, and vibrant gemstones.

Authentic pieces often feature official British hallmarks denoting the assay office, metal purity such as 18ct, and a date letter, alongside characteristic hand-cut diamonds like old mine or old European cuts set flush or in star settings.

Antique rings add a layer of historic character and texture to contemporary wardrobes, and they stack exceptionally well with modern minimalist bands or other vintage finds for an eclectic aesthetic.

To preserve historic settings and metals, clean antique jewellery gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding harsh ultrasonic cleaners and abrasive chemicals, and store items separately to prevent scratching.
