Edwardian jewellery, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, is defined by delicate craftsmanship, often utilising platinum and yellow gold alongside intricate filigree work and symmetrical gemstone arrangements.

Jewellery from the Edwardian period commonly featured 18-carat yellow gold or platinum settings, hand-cut gemstones such as rubies and diamonds, and secure prong or basket settings crafted by master goldsmiths.

Authentic pieces typically feature period-appropriate hallmarks indicating the assay office, metal purity such as 18ct, and date letters, alongside hand-cut stones and signs of genuine age-related wear.

Antique rings add historic character when worn as standalone statement pieces or stacked with modern minimalist bands, and can be displayed securely on small velvet ring trays when not being worn.

To preserve antique jewellery, store pieces individually in soft pouches, avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners, and have settings inspected regularly by a professional jeweller to ensure stone security.
