Mid-century Scandinavian jewellery is characterised by minimalist forms, clean lines, organic shapes, and a strong focus on the natural qualities of silver and enamel.

Designers typically utilised sterling silver combined with coloured vitreous enamel or semi-precious stones, often featuring oxidised contrasts to highlight modernist geometric patterns.

Authentic pieces usually bear makers marks, sterling silver hallmarks, and characteristic Danish registration stamps that indicate the maker and metal purity.

This type of jewellery pairs well with minimalist contemporary outfits or monochromatic ensembles, allowing the bold geometric shapes and contrasting enamel colours to stand out as statement pieces.

Enamel and silver should be gently cleaned using a soft, non-abrasive cloth and warm soapy water, avoiding harsh chemical dips or ultrasonic cleaners that can damage the delicate vitreous glass coating.
