A club fire fender is a specialized hearth accessory featuring an integrated upholstered seat, designed during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods to provide comfortable seating close to the fireplace.

These pieces traditionally combine a solid brass or iron metal framework with padded upholstery cushions traditionally covered in leather or velvet.

Authentic period pieces typically feature heavy-gauge cast brass or iron construction, hand-turned spindles, traditional joinery methods, and natural patination consistent with age.

They serve as functional hearth seating or decorative focal points in living rooms, bridging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary interior schemes.

Brass components should be cleaned with a non-abrasive metal polish to preserve the finish, while velvet upholstery requires gentle brushing and vacuuming with a soft attachment to maintain the pile.
