This original Art Deco cluster ring originates from 1920. The piece incorporates a platinum and 18ct white gold setting holding a central emerald-cut green tourmaline surrounded by a halo of old-cut diamonds. The photograph reveals a reflective black surface beneath the ring, a sharp vertical green tourmaline gemstone, and a symmetrical circular arrangement of small silver-toned diamonds in a millegrain-detailed border. The ring features a GB size L 1/2 or US size 6, with a tourmaline measuring 9.5 x 8 mm and a ring head measuring 14 x 13 mm. It suits formal wear or evening attire when worn on the hand as a traditional jewellery accessory.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent during the 1920s and 1930s, is characterised by clean geometric lines, symmetry, and vivid visual contrast using coloured gemstones framed by diamonds.

Art Deco rings frequently combined platinum or 18ct gold with step-cut central gemstones, surrounded by round brilliant or single-cut diamond halos and millegrain wirework.

Authentic period pieces feature hand-carved undergalleries, precise millegrain edging, era-appropriate hallmarks, and period gemstone cuts such as emerald or old European cuts.

An Art Deco gemstone ring functions as a standalone statement piece, complementing formal evening wear or adding a classic focal point to modern minimalist tailoring.

Clean the setting gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, ensuring the piece is stored separately to prevent harder gemstones from scratching the mount.
