Antique Edwardian Mahogany Astragal Glazed Bureau Bookcase C1900 Wt6199a/13.12

1900 - 1920
Description

Quality antique edwardian mahogany bureau bookcase and dating from around 1900. It has a cornice top with deep mahogany frieze above two astragal glazed doors with original key and internally there are three adjustable shelves. The base has a fall front with key escutcheon and opens to reveal a very nice interior with pigeon holes and letter rack to the centre with two small drawers to either side. The base has two short drawers above two further drawers and all the drawers are oak lined with brass handles. There is a small panelled door with working key and it stands on a plinth base with ogee bracket feet.

The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

In very good condition with a lovely colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the edwardian period.

Measures: 82" high X height to top of bureau 38" X knee height 27" X 19" deep X internal depth (top) 9" X 52" wide
