Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The handle is ornate and perfectly compliments the style. Clear hallmarks are visible underneath for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1858, Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver and maker's mark: Edward & John Barnard.

Lovely as a gift for any occasion, weddings, anniversaries etc., great for a wine buff!
Condition: In lovely condition. There is a pin prick hole on the underside of the handle which can only be viewed when turned upside down (this may have been put in purposely during the making).
