Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Art Deco silver design is characterised by geometric facets, streamlined forms, stepped bases, and a departure from Victorian ornamentation in favour of modern industrial minimalism.

These sets are typically crafted from solid sterling silver using techniques such as spinning, hammering, or casting, often paired with insulated wooden handles and finials made from materials like wood or early plastics.

Authentic pieces feature clear hallmarks stamped into the metal, including a makers mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, a town mark such as the Birmingham anchor, and a date letter indicating the specific year of assay.

Display the set on a dark wood sideboard or a mirrored serving tray to highlight the reflective metallic surface, contrasting the historical craftsmanship with clean, modern surroundings.

Clean the silver periodically using a non-abrasive specialist silver polish and a soft cloth to remove tarnish, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can strip the original patina and damage insulated components.
