Art Deco jewellery, prominent during the 1920s and 1930s, is characterised by geometric shapes, stylised motifs, clean lines, and a strong emphasis on contrasting materials such as diamonds set in platinum alongside yellow gold.

Rings from this era were typically crafted from yellow gold, white gold, or platinum, often featuring hand-cut diamonds secured in claw, millegrain, or bezel settings fashioned by skilled goldsmiths.

Authenticity is identified through hallmark stamps, handcrafted setting irregularities, the presence of old-cut diamonds (such as old European or mine cuts), and natural signs of age-related wear on the metal.

An antique ring can be paired with contemporary minimalist bands to create a striking contrast, or stacked alongside other period pieces to highlight its historical design and craftsmanship.

Preserve vintage rings by storing them in soft fabric pouches, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, and having the settings professionally inspected annually to ensure the stones remain secure.
