Antique William 1v Mahogany Library Bookcase C1820 Wdb6142/22.11

Lovely antique william 1v mahogany library bookcase of quality and dating from around 1820. It has a shaped pedament with turned finials to each end and to the centre is a beautifully carved bird that sits above a cornice top with cross banded frieze and above two glazed panelled doors with working key and with three adjustable shelves. The base has a moulded edge to the top above two drawers which are mahogany lined and with brass escutcheons and working key and brass handles. There are two panelled doors again with working key and with internal shelf and it stands on a deep plinth base.

The top separates from the base for ease of transporting

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality mahogany oozing the charm and character of the william 1v period.

Measures: 86" high X 19.5"" deep X internal depth 10" X 39" wide
