This truly stunning antique Georgian 18ct gold cabochon garnet & diamond ring is an absolute rarity. The workmanship is superb, the garnet being traditionally set in silver upon an 18ct gold mount with a foiled reverse. The craftmanship involved in cutting the garnet into its exquisite curved cabochon is second to none. The garnet is surrounded by all original old mine cut diamonds, resulting in a fascinating, stylish and elegant ring. A part of our antique garnet ring collection.

CONDITION

Excellent – This antique Georgian 18ct gold cabochon garnet & diamond ring is in superb condition. The garnet has hardly a mark to it and is in top form. The diamonds are free from abrasions or chips, omitting a wonderful shine. The gold and silver metalwork is also in great order and retains its original gleam. The ring head is late Georgian and was originally likely a hair piece, the ring shank has been added afterwards. This ring has obviously been cherished and well looked after throughout its life.
