Superb 176g English Sterling Silver Madras Christian College Cigar Case 1907

Description

A superb English antique solid sterling silver cigar case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1907 with the makers marks being that of Horton & Allday. It has been superbly made and has been engraved 'PRESENTED TO THE REV. E. MONTEITH MACPHARL M.A.R.D. BY THE STUDENTS OF THE HISTORY BRANCH MADRAS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE MAY 1907'. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, tiny mark to the back top - see final photo. It measures approx. 5.75 inches (14.5cm) long by 3.5 inches (9cm) wide and weighs 172 grams. A superbly made fascinating piece.

Declaration
