Antique Victorian Mahogany Library Bookcase C1880 Wdb6105/8.11

Description

Lovely antique victorian mahogany library bookcase and dating from aorund 1880. It has a cornice top with wide frieze above two glazed doors with original working lock and key and three adjustable internal shelves. The base has a moulded edge to the top with a deep serpentine shaped frieze drawer which is pine lined and with carved corbal supports to either side and above two flamed mahogany panelled doors with key and with internal shelf. It stands on a deep plinth base.

The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany and oozing all of the charm and character of the victorian period.

Measures: 84" high X height to base 37" X 21" deep X internal depth 9.3/4" X 46" wide
