Rare Edwardian Silver Top Needle Holder With 'chick' Pin Cushion

A rare and extremely attractive glass needle holder with silver lid featuring a fledgling chick pin cushion, absolutely charming. The glass holder is elegantly shaped and in nice clean and clear condition with no chips or nicks to the glass. The pull-off lid is silver and features an adorable fledgling baby chick, which is a pin cushion. Hallmarks are visible on the silver for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1907 and maker''s mark for Levi & Salaman, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.
An unusual and wonderful item, in great condition.
