Simulating a small chest of drawers, this lidded box, originally used as a close stool, would work well as a small occasional table with the added attraction of storage.
The mouldings are crisp, the timber is well figured and best of all, those large bun feet are entirely original.
Probably Welsh, circa 1700-1740.
